SOFIA LOREN, ATTRICE SENZA TEMPO
Nonostante abbia ormai compiuto da tempo i famigerati “anta”, Sofia Loren resta ancora oggi un mito del nostro cinema, amata e stimata in tutto il mondo. Alle sue spalle, una carriera lunghissima, con oltre 90 pellicole, che l’hanno vista recitare a fianco di grandi nomi internazionali: da Marlon Brando a Mario Monicelli, da Ettore Scola a Marcello Mastroianni. Decine i successi ottenuti, in patria e fuori dai confini nazionali (per alcuni anni ha infatti lavorato ad Hollywood), così come i riconoscimenti, primo fra tutti, nel 1961, il Premio Oscar per l’interpretazione del suo film-simbolo, “La ciociara” di Vittorio De Sica, in un ruolo che era stato rifiutato da Anna Magnani.
Un’attrice, ma anche una bellezza senza tempo: basti ricordare che ha posato per l’edizione 2007 del celebre Calendario Pirelli.

Even well beyond middle age, Sofia Loren is still considered an Italian film legend, idolized and admired the world over. Over the course of her extraordinarily long and fruitful career, she has appeared in over ninety films and worked with some of the most famous international celebrities: from Marlon Brando to Mario Monicelli,from Ettore Scola to Marcello Mastroianni.
She has received awards and acknowledgements both within Italy and abroad (having also worked in Hollywood for some years), most notably the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in the film ‘Two Women’ (La Ciociara) by Vittorio De Sica, a role that was turned down by Anna Magnani.
