Primo Carnera, il 26 giugno 1933, di fronte alla gremitissima arena del Madison Square Garden di New York, entrò nella storia battendo Jack Sharkey e guadagnandosi il titolo di primo campione mondiale dei pesi massimi italiano. Le sue qualità, la sua forza, la sua vita, rimarranno per sempre impresse nel mondo della boxe, della storia e anche nelle menti del popolo, facendo di lui un mito internazionale.

Primo Carnera, the ‘Good Giant’ who, on the 26th July 1933, went down in the history of boxing to become the first Italian boxer to win the world heavyweight championship after having beaten Jack Sharkey in the crowded arena of the Madison Square Garden in New York. Nevertheless, his qualities, his strength and his life will be forever engraved in the world of boxing, as well as in history and in the hearts of everybody, since he has become an international myth.
